As a kid sure, but not now. I turn 48 in a few weeks and frankly I expect a much nicer setup. I have no issue with a minimalist setup but I want a big screen high end tv hooked up to a proper sound system. A proper one not some sound bar. I'm talking an AMP and a processor or AVR, actual speakers and a nice subwoofer. I also want a super comfortable La-Z-Boy recliner. I want the tv up off the ground.

Now if it is a retro gaming system I can understand hooking it up to a to a proper nice CRT tv. But the rest still applies. I still want my sound system hooked up and a nice comfy chair. Even back in the early 90's I had my video game consoles audio coming through my speakers on my sound system instead of the tv.
