It doesn't, but it doesn't particularly bother me since the characters start out as more capable/powerful than they did in Remake anyway. Hayame_Zero posted... It doesn't, but they function as standalone games in the same vein as Mass Effect. There's an overarching story, but it's told in a way that feels like part of it is resolved, and has a stopping point for the time being when they end. Thanks for the info.
