Those who were supposed to check Trumps power chose not to. Those who were supposed to check Palpatines power were effectively mind controlled not to. Whats the difference exactly? In both cases theres one lesson to learn - you can break any law you want if those who are meant to punish you for it do nothing (or worse, support you). --- "How is that a religious topic?
