Cillian Murphy vs. Paul Giamatti should be super intriguing. If Oppenheimer wins, there's no reason for Murphy to not also win. Though there is precedent with Crowe not winning best actor despite Beautiful Mind winning the other awards, a film that completely hinged on his performance. In short, the Oscars are dumb, but also entertaining to a point.
