An old lady next door kept leaving food out for the cats last summer and because of that my backyard was littered with stray cats

I wish I had that problem.

You shouldn't encourage strays.

Citation needed.

I'm not defending him but I think you already passed the point where one could defend him. Maybe that's fine here but you were doing it in the other topic too, basically kicking the person when you already bitch slapped them.

Or to put it simply, I think that's ENOUGH.

It is never enough.

That's what the shelters are for.

Not if it's run by PETA.

It's also not wise to feed stray cats because:

* Health risks: Feeding stray animals can increase the transmission of disease and injuries from fighting.

* Ecosystem damage: Feeding feral cats can be detrimental to the health of the ecosystem and wildlife.
* Property damage: An excessive number of cats in one place can damage personal property.
* Increased stray problem: Providing food to undesexed cats increases the stray problem.
* Lures other wildlife: Feeding stray cats can attract other local wildlife species like raccoons, skunks, foxes, and opossums.

Nobody actually cares about this one.
