Circumcision has been around longer than the USA has, and thats because it was a religious custom, likely for health reasons like many other religious customs of that time. The first line it comes from is literally Five are the acts quite akin to fitrah: Circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, cutting the nails, plucking the hair under the armpits and clipping (or shaving) the moustach. Its a commandment about hygiene. But hey. Keep saying whatever you think sounds good.
