I can answer as a Londoner. Over here whilst I was at school I made a lot of black friends primarily because of Dragonball. We had Asians, whites and blacks come together talking about the show and all sharing our love for it.

I remember we used to get together and print out pictures of Dragonball using the school printers and ink lol. It also influenced a lot of our groups to become artists, and made a big influence for us to get into exercising and training.

A lot of us started to use the school gym when it opened, because of the motivation that Goku and Vegeta had training in the show. It made a huge effect on all our lives regardless of our backgrounds and it was beautiful.
