What makes this bad (to me) is that he had to climb back up to his feet. If he had just been able to pop himself back up to at least a knee in one motion, then back himself over the ropes it would've been fine, or at least easier to look at. Maybe just take it and roll out of the ring instead of whatever that was supposed to be.
