This is why I can't personally be offended by FF7Remake's existence even if I wanted to be; outside of the OG game, my FF7 fandom died fifteen years ago (swiftly put on life support by Advent Children, and then Dirge of Cerberus came along shortly thereafter to deliver the killing blow).

In a way I'm actually kinda glad that FF6 never achieved the kind of mainstream popularity that would've inevitably resulted in it getting milked to death.
