Ideally Biden would pick a different person as VP, but it would do too much damage to try to remove Kamala Harris from the ticket and make an issue out of something that isn't an issue at the moment, as Harris is currently a non-factor politically and almost an invisible presence. If she becomes President if Biden dies, then that is something that will have to be dealt with when we come to that road.

Who is to say. Assuming Trump loses again, hopefully he is kicked by the wayside and someone else on the political right could try to run against her. It is hard to say how well that would go.
