If the threat is right at your face, then yeah I can understand the idea of teaching what you preach and fire back.
But if you have ever gone to any type of training or school in regards to guns, they will teach you that a handgun is best used as a defensive weapon. Because if you try to fight against an assault rifle with your handgun, you are very likely to lose.
I dont know if you have seen some of the mass shooting videos online, but its usually law enforcement with assault rifles that neutralize the threat.
So again, if a man who conceal carries a handgun, going out of his way to be a hero, to look for a shooter or multiple shooters, whom probably have much for firepower, is very foolish.

There difference is, while I do conceal carry, I don't go on and on about how "I'm a good guy with a gun" who can stop situations like this from occuring. I do it specifically to protect myself and my family if the situation arises, which it never has thankfully.

People like this guy has "good guys with guns" as one of his leading arguments for "oh please, don't take our guns away!!!" They always paint themselves as these big heroes that would put themselves between innocent people and someone with a gun, but they never do, they run, they hide, then they continue spouting their "good guys with guns" bullshit.

I'll say it again, if you're going to continuously spout "good guys with guns" as your primary argument and how they can stop these situations, but then turn tail and run away in such a situation, you need to find another argument because you just proved your own argument is complete bullshit.
