Because the man has enough songs that he could perform only his top hits and go for well over an hour. The discussion in the original conversation was not necessarily if he had enough hits to fill the time, becasue he definitely does, but whether or not he had enough up-tempo "get people on their feet" dance songs to keep a mixed audience entertained for a half hour. Which is still debatable.
