It's unfortunate that rare complications sometimes occur during a routine medical procedure.

But there are more than enough benefits (lower cancer risk, no phimosis, much lower UTI risk) to make the procedure worth doing. Complications can happen to anybody, unfortunately. It's just the nature of medical procedures.

People sometimes die at the dentist, too. It's a risk we all take. Fortunately, the chance is very low of anything serious happening.
The chances of circumcision preventing penile cancer (a disease of the elderly) are less than the chances of circumcision resulting in death (in infancy).

It is therefore indefensible to circumcise in order to slightly reduce the chances of getting penile cancer as an elderly man, as you have argued throughout this thread.

Your dogmatic approach and reliance on deflection do not disguise the fact that you have nothing but a personal and emotional preference for circumcision, and that is no justification for advocating the practice on those who cannot yet choose for themselves.
