Them: Gavin Newsome would be a terrible president. He'll do to the country what he's done to California, with crime, drugs, and homelessness out of control. Me: You are aware that crime, drugs, and homelessness are out of control right here in Texas. Austin and Houston share many of the same problems San Francisco and Oakland do. Them: That's because of Democratic mayors. Me: Oh, so when crime, drugs, and homelessness are rampant in blue states, it's because of Democratic governors.
