Not an idiot, but a person of very average intelligence that's been lucky - and has a talent for impressing other business people also of very average intelligence. He took a brand like Twitter and threw it away for a generic as hell name like X and on top of that replaced the iconic blue bird icon with an X from the lowercase monotype font.
