Even if it is a work, it's a terrible one. It makes Cody look like the biggest cuck in the world for just giving up his hard-earned title shot and the chance to finish his story for a part-timer he has no connection to. It makes Rock look like even more of a Hollywood asshole than people thought he was before. It makes Seth and his WH title look even weaker and more of a joke compared to Roman and his UWU title, which also makes everyone Seth has beaten during his reign look even weaker by extension. Literally the only person involved who doesn't come out of this whole situation looking worse than they did before is Roman.

Depends on how they do it. If they have Cody beat the Rock and kinda eliminate him from the picture for now... basically "prove" to "Da Rock" that he can beat Roman by beating him. Then, after Cody finishes the story, Rock can face Roman to be "Head of the Table" at Summer Slam. Have Roman lose because Solo decides not to attack Rock and tells Roman to do it himself if he is Head of the table.
