Yes.
Try this:
- Cook a pound of elbows in generously salted / oiled water.
- While theyre cooking, take a block of Velveeta and cut off a block about 4 long, then cut that block up into cubes on a plate or something, then cover in plastic wrap.
- Drain the elbows after theyre cooked, and put them back in the pot if you used a colander to do it.
- Pour in milk until you can see it coming up around the edge of the pot, then stir it all up. Pour more milk until you can see it around the edge again.
- Put the Velveeta cubes in.
- [Optional] Generously grind black pepper into it.
- Stir it all up and put the lid on the pot, and let it sit on Lo heat for 5 minutes or so.
- Stir to incorporate and finish melting the cheese.
Youll never tolerate boxed Velveeta Mac n cheese again after trying this.
