I heard about it through my cousin last week or maybe the week before. Made a joke about how it was probably utter s*** and exactly like Twilight (without knowing anything about it) and she said it was hyped similarly to Twilight and targetted the same demographic.
It really isn't like Twilight at all. There are some romance parts, but it's mostly about survival. Plus, unlike Twilight, people other than teenage girls actually like this.
I do think that the second movie won't be as good, though, because the pacing in the second book was very slow.
