So I had an idea on where this AJ title shot thing might lead.
Say Daniel Bryan loses to Sheamus at Wrestlemania. He's no longer World Heavyweight Champion, and there goes his gimmick, right? But wait! Daniel Bryan makes sure AJ wins the Diva's Championship, and as soon as the match is over, he grabs the belt and heads for the top rope, shouting "YES! YES! WORLD! DIVA! CHAMPION! YES!" And now whenever he comes out, he's holding the Diva Championship, with AJ following tepidly behind him.
This made more sense in my mind when I thought AJ was getting her title shot at Wrestlemania, but then I remembered there's that celebrity match instead. Now I'm starting to wonder if they've forgotten altogether that he told AJ she would be the number one contender if she won both her matches.
