Blame FFD for the lack of rankings lately. It's kind of hard to concentrate on writeups when you're expecting a round of SMFFFC to go up 12 hours a day. Anywhore...

Make waaaaay for seventh plaaaaace. Say heeey to seventh plaaaaaace.

7) Prince Ali
From: Aladdin
Nominated by: Anagram

Hey look there's a buzz on this ranking list.
There's a lack of another song quite like this.
And if you know the words you'll wanna sing along.
Get ready, 'cause it's here, wipe your eyes, clean your ears...
Are you gonna love this song!~

Prince Ali! Fabulous song from a fabulous movie. It's actually really hard to pick a favorite portion of it between Genie pulling a rug out from under some guards to force them into a kneel (this song taught me the word "genuflect" which is p neat), Iago dancing along until Jafar catches him and gives him the stink eye/death glare, Genie rallying the gathering townies by transforming into different people/creatures and saying different things too interest them., or the stiff, serious guards chanting, "He's got the monkeys! Let's see the monkeys!!" while dancing some crazy straight-legged jig.

If hard pressed, I'd have to go with that last one. Something about grown men wanting to see white Persian monkeys that badly- I can only assume they must be really cute. Speaking of really cute monkeys, I would like about ten of these- one for each external image

My bday's coming up in June. Make it happen B8.

Back to the song.... It's got this really simple 1-2-1-2 beat to it almost the entire length of the song, but it slows down to a near-hault and then speeds up again right at the end accentuating Ali and Abu bursting through the palace door like total bosses (lol Jafar) and then the last tastefully high note is drawn out- always loved the usage of the drawn out final note done in many a Disney song, but here it's... dare I say magical? You might wonder why, when they have the same gimmick, there's such a difference in between Friend Like Me and this song, and the reason for that is I do not know what it is. /cop out

To be honest, I think there's less variation in RW's vocal performance in this song but I could very well be imagining it. Either way, this is superior.
