Yeah, Korra has next to no spirituality, especially compared to Aang. We're halfway through the first season and we have yet to see her enter the Avatar State or commune with any spirits.
Airbending seems to have way more to do with that side of life than all the other bending styles, so it makes sense that she'd flop at it.
