but Hunger Games is literally a direct ripoff of The Most Dangerous Game and The Lottery, dumbed down for 5 year-olds.
You know that humans fighting for the death for other's entertainment goes way back in time to, like, the B.C.'s, right? There's some real history behind these books.
I fit in the target audience of 10-16 year olds, granted, but it's definitely not, "unfathomable" to like The Hunger Games. Actually, I used to HATE it, but it grew on me.
