Uh... let's not get all politically correct in situations that hardly call for it. My opinion on transexuals has nothing to do with my opinion of a fictional character. Considering Xavin held male form when s/he first appeared, I was under the impression s/he later transformed into a female form to appease Karolina. That's kind of different than a personal choice don't you think? If Karolina weren't a lesbian we probably wouldn't be having this conversation at all right now. Either way, I'd still consider Xavin gender ambiguous, which, for the purposes of this contest, no.
It might be different if Skrulls were anything like Mystique in that they're born a certain gender which they could shift at will. I'm sure no one would argue Mystique's sex just because she can shapeshift into a dude, but Skrulls aren't quite like that as far as I know.
Well I am not sure if Skrulls are actually born a gender or not but they most definately do choose a certain gender and can switch that. Let's say Mystique was born a boy. She obviously identifies more with the female form because that is her default form. If you read Runaways vol 8(the trade) or singles #25-30(which is what is in trade vol 8) You would see that by then Xavin has indeed become Female as her main gender and her default form is female.
