Oh really, you respect good director you say.
Maybe we should really test that theory out, how is your film knowledge? Probably not all that great.
You respect good directors, but scorsese is just too easy, now tell me me if you really respect good directors, I'm guessing you've been watching a ton of Bunuel, or then perhaps maybe you are an expect on Renoir's works. Nonono, you must be one of the few guys within your circle who appreciates the works of Visconti. You've analyzed what makes Herzog one of the all time great german directors. You've also seen the exterminating Angel and The discreet charm of the bourgeoisie a dozen times.
Or are you one of those people who believes great directors can only come from america, the usual line for a work such as say Cries and Whispers is "man who cares about that"
But maybe i've misjudged you and The Conformist really is one of you top 50 films of all time.
What is wrong with you. All he did was ask why you thought a movie was bad.
