I'm starting to see reactions from a lot of people outside the community who have read the articles now.
It's gonna be hard for this community, because it's not like anyone is gonna cut Aris off because of this, but when other people see that the community forgives/ignores/gets over/forgets what he did and still includes him, they're gonna give them s*** about it and think it means FGC encourages sexism or some bullcrap
The only issue here is that s*** got out of hand and now we've got people who didn't even know the FGC was even a thing commenting on the state of things. I'll be the first person to note that Aris f***ed up, but that's where it begins and ends. The only problem is that Aris is somehow put on a pedestal to be a representative of our community, but nobody actually believes that on the inside. I'm not saying we don't have issues with sexism in the community, or that we seriously need to change our attitude towards certain things, but we're not as far off as Destructoid or Giant Bomb think we are.
And frankly, Miranda had a lot more reasons to quit aside from Aris. We all know that.
