Itagaki's next game Devil's Third looks highly freakin' awesome, that's where the action went.
On the subject though I definitely agree the desexifying of Lara Croft is weird, and the whole thinking big boobs = bad thing, a full thesis could be written on the weird psychology involved in all that. Nothin' wrong with some sexiness (and big boobs).
