Really not a bad character, has all the workings of a typical (but good) FF villain, except that he gets shafted and his motivations are only alluded to.
He never feels tragic and how he manages to do some of things he does is never explained and kind of just there to make some boss fights. Plus a really lame ending.
Damn good boss fights though.
