Number one, I love me a lady that can handle a sword. Number two, Lulu was so f***ing stupid and annoying he deserved what he got.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way let’s talk turkey. Chris is made Captain of the Zexen knights at the young age of 22. Her nickname is the Silver Maiden. The people adore her. And so do I! As you guys know, FFX was my first RPG. What you might not know though, is Suikoden III was my second RPG. I honestly for the life of me can’t remember what made my buy it, being as I hadn’t played the previous two, but I did and I fell in love with Chris right away. Even though the game tries to shove Hugo in your face all of the damn time. I was like “No, Suikoden III. I’m choosing Chris first. Deal with it.” And so I did.
The one thing that seriously weirded me out about this game was the distinct lack of voice acting. I can remember thinking like “This is the PS2! Top of the line video gaming technology! Where are the voices?! I just played a game with voice acting!” The other thing that was odd was the severe lack of music during long stretches of the dialog. I mean, if you're not gonna give me voices at least give me music! Still, I thought Chris was awesome and I liked how she pretty much had a "whatever" attitude toward all the adoration showered on her, yet she was fiercely loyal to her Zexen Knights and loved the people dearly. Also I thought she had a little something something going on with Yun if you know what I mean. Girl sees Chris in her dreams bro.
And clearly Chris was my Flame Champion.
