How did you get screwed out of 20k? I'm going to guess you were just sucky,
Many African Americans got into Rutgers Law the first year while I had to transfer since I was wait listed at first. While talking to a group of them (had many friends who were black), we discussed this topic. All admitted they just got in because of affirmative action and that their grades and LSAT scores were lower than mine. Had to go to Pace Law my 1st year which was about $20K more.
