37. Primeape
Let the tomatoes fly. Primeape is something I've never "got" the love for. It's a very angry pygmy marmoset... thing. It's learnset itsn't anything to write home about, and its stats aren't remarkable. Why do people like it again? The anime? My understanding is that it wasn't with Ash for very long. I guess I'll never understand...
38. Hitmontop
My issue with Hitmontop is not one of appearance (indeed it's kind of cute). My issue with Top is that it's an outcast not at all related to its "family". We've got Lee, named after Bruce who was particularly skilled at kicking, and we've got Chan, named after Jackie famous for his handiwork. The next step should've been a poke named after someone great at both kicking and punching, or someone who uses a different style altogether, but no. Instead of a MMA Hitmon or something we get... a breakdancer.
39. Conkeldurr
From a gameplay pesrpective, Conkeldurr is fantastic! Too bad they made him so grotesque that I can't stand the sight of his back, and therefore can't let him occupy a space on my team.
40. Tyrogue
Worst. Baby. Ever. Why would someone even invent a pokémon so difficult to evolve into something useful? What satanic mastermind spawned this hideous imp that only had one stupid move in Gen2?
41. Gurdurr
... F*** you, you f***ing f***. You give middle evos a bad name. It's a wonder I don't spontaneously combust from just the sight of you. *ahem* Gurdurr is not only my least favorite Fighting type pokémon, it is my least favorite pokémon period. If I stare at it long enough, it makes me want to tear my eyeballs out from their sockets. It's that ugly to me.
Dishonrable mention: Meditite
It's a monkey in a diaper. Not to say that can't be cute (), but Meditite... isn't. Not to me at least. It beats out Machamp for the DM.
