The Tri beams real name is Kikoho. He does not use the Tri Beam/Kikoho on Cell, he uses the Shin Kikoho (I would guess God Tri Beam would be the translation here, or something like it). Which is an unbelievably powerful version of the Kikoho, and one that can be fired over an over again, but your life energy is drained immensely with each blast.
