So yesterday was something else.
Uncharted 3 and Skyward Sword were going at it for hours on end, with both games taking big leads during the day. Then after 3 hours of silence, the topic exploded as a result of not just one but TWO rallying topics outside the board. If every vote was counted (alts, rallies, etc.) Skyward Sword would be advancing to the finals with a 58-50 victory.
However, after thoroughly looking through the votes/users/etc., I discovered that a grand total of 29 votes came from people who only saw the two topics on the PS3 and Skyward Sword boards. After calculations, this WOULD have been a 40-39 victory for Uncharted 3, until I looked further into back-to-back votes made by XIII rocks/socks. Socks, if you weren't an alt of XIII Rocks, you wouldn't be having his name in your signature, and the fact that you two voted less than 2 minutes from each other doesn't help your cause.
To top it all off, the suggestion of removing rallied votes/alts came from both sides of the fence, so there's no bias for Skyward Sword or Uncharted 3.
So as of right now, the score is 39-39 and we're heading into OVERTIME. You have until midnight to vote again, you must have voted in any of the contests' previous matches (excluding this one in regulation), and any signs of rallying or alts will result in your vote being immediately DQ'd. Hopefully this will be the last time I have to do something like this.
