Honorable Mentions:

Megaman 2
One of the old time classics. Nuff said. An entry in my top 10 just barely edges it out.

Kirby
Kirby was, other than mario, probably the only first party nintendo game that I had on my NES. I played that game to death. I ended up getting three perfect files on my cart. and then Kirby's Superstar showed up and me and my lil bro played that game to death. <3 Kirby

VC/FE
Vakryia Chronicles and Fire Emblem GCN. as I said in the other topic, These games were great and I loved the characters, and how many there were to choose from and how you were able to mix and match your army the way you like it. but the games presented too many flaws for me. Two that stand out, one from each game, was the random stat generator from FE. Mega Mana went all OCD over this generator and never even finished the game! He would play each level 5 times and continue with the save that had the best level ups. and yea, I don't blame him cause empty level ups do indeed suck. I didn't get TOO many of them, but it still stung when I did. and for VC, yea, the ranking system. I wouldn't have minded it if you got EXP from killing units or something, and THEN you get bonus EXP from your rank, but having the rank thing as the PRIMARY way to get it? oh man wut? at least the skirmishes were there.

Pokemon
more specifically, Red and Blue (never played yellow). Pokemon really did open up a whole new magical world with a new mythology that made it easy to immerse yourself in it. and it felt like anything was possible too. Which is why the rumors and hoaxes for those games were so believable. IT COULD HAPPEN! Playing Pokemon and all of the talk from school is easily one of my best gaming memories.

Dead Rising Series
Man, mixing a sandbox game with zombies was genius. everytime I played these games, I discovered something new and that excitement kept me coming back. I do like the story and the characters, but they take a backseat to the gameplay, which is zombie killing in variety of ways. But unfortunately theres too many problems with the series. The first one was hard as hell, but not because it was supposed to be hard, it was just too faulty. The AI sucked balls, the zombie grabs had too much priority, your beginning stats suck. hell, even if you're maxed out with all of the secret equipment the game is still too hard, I haven't made a perfect run of the game yet! and DR2 is the opposite, its too easy! Some day they'll release a perfect mix
