but CHEESY? you can call it awful if you want and that's your opinion but for shounen it basically has the most eccentric art I can think of
Maybe cheesy was the wrong word for it. Actually I can't think of the perfect word for it, because it's not bad, and "cheap" sounds harsh...
Overly simplistic? That'll do I guess. Not saying every anime needs to look like Ghost in the Shell, but I prefer anime that looks like its animators actually put some effort into it.
