Imagine this, if you will. The setting is the User of the Year Battledome. I am an enthusiastic young spectator eagerly awaiting this year's e-pop laden carnage. I am clutching my Sir Chris pennant and eating over priced novelty popcorn. Who's going to win this year, I wonder. What hideous scandal has caused so many former champions to drop out?
But in my enthusiasm to get close to the action, I accidentally get swept along with the crowd of competitors into the fray! There are only two ways out now. Death, or to win. I may stand less of a chance than an obscure indie jrpg mobile game winning a contest on Gamefaqs, but dammit I've got to try!
My point is, I accidentally entered myself in UOTY, and I've been posting more often lately anyway so now it feels a bit weird to just lurk completely. So I thought I'd introduce myself! My name is Leo, obviously. I really hate this username! It's half the reason I lurk. I just mashed my way through account creation so I could enter a contest. Have you ever wondered who would ever use those awful "suggested user-names" you sometimes see when creating an account and your usual name was taken? Now you know someone!
I'm 21 year years old, a psychology major at a Canadian University. Future Law student. I enjoy coffee, wine,and sunglasses. I like fighting video games, and strategy non-video games. I fence. I occasionally hatch wacky schemes of dubious legality. I probably have other interests of some sort. I've lurked on this board for some time, basically viewing it as a collection of min-blogs instead of a community, not posting except to occasionally encourage a project I particularly enjoy. Until now, that is.
Post and I will give you my Lurker's Appraisal. Have you ever wondered if an invisible alien audience was watching everything you do? Do they approve of you dancing around your apartment in your underwear to Bon Jovi? Did they think that bad-ass one liner you said before brushing your teeth was both witty AND topical? If so you might be crazy. I mean, not you, dear friend and potential voter. But all those other chumps would be completely loopy! ANYWAY this would basically be the e-version of that.
