I forgot just how boring Brawl matches are.
I dunno, that doesn't seem to cover the extent of how bad Brawl is. Look instead at this match
First round is pretty good for Brawl; whenever you're getting bored of it, skip to 6:20 for the second round.
The point being...ok so Brawl has some BS characters like Diddy and MK--we don't need to play with those characters--we can play with more enjoyable characters.
And...ok, Brawl is a game all about footsies. There's nothing inherently wrong with "footsies: the game"--it's just a different style. Not my style, but I'm completely sympathetic to people who find it fun to play.
But why on earth would you have an inescapable 0-100 chain grab in "Footsies: the game"? Just so that you can occasionally turn an interesting, close match into "welp, you're screwed?"
