I probably more articles on bnet 2.0 pre-release than you have. There's nothing to stand up for no LAN isn't even that big of a deal.
I doubt you watched more SC in a single year than I have since SC2 came out. Looking at the TLPD list of tournies in 2002 it's actually pretty much impossible since I've probably watched more games than were actually played in the entirety of 2002 and I doubt you watched every single game. Lagging in professional games IS extremely rare and a lot of the time it is because of a mistake by the tournament organizers rather than bnet 2.0.
because the only replays are of professional major tournaments.....
It was 2002. Competitive gaming was nothing compared to what it is in 2010 and beyond.
