The hell? Nostalgia for commercials is nothing new at all.
Maybe I was misunderstanding him, but with Anagram, it's never a "hey remember this thing that used to be everywhere" kind of nostalgia, which I can see being applied to commercials. It's always a "today's stuff SUCKS, everything from when I was a kid was SO MUCH BETTER THAN EVERYTHING" nostalgia, which is what I was assuming here.
