and by soon i mean not soon at all. got caught up in a good book full of adventure :3

S2 Episode 17: Valentine's Neigh

I know this episode involves Cherilee and Big Mac and pony romance. I don't have very high hopes for this one, and it will be impossible to top Rainbow Dash's books until Twilight Sparkle has a chance to do the time travel thing (this episode is pretty much automatically the best episode by the description alone). But we'll see how good this episode is. Of all the days to decide to watch it...

*I'll be damned...I noticed everything but the train this time. What are you plotting train? WHERE IS THE BOMB?!*

I am glad they are fleshing out Miss Cherilee more. She is a nice pony. I've a bit of a bias towards teachers, but in this instance I wouldn't call it an attraction...more of an appreciation. Of all my perversions, ponies are safely not among them. Not that such stops the rest of the internet...but the sexualization of nonanthropomorphic entities confounds me in much the same way as some of my own interests confounds others. Anyway...less talk of pony lust and more talk about pony love, which I assume is going to be the focus of this episode.

A very special somepony....if I didn't know it was gonna be Big Macintosh I would...well...be almost forced to think of him because the pool of known male ponies is...preeeeeeetty limited. I can't say I agree with this choice. Doctor Whooves would be a much better somepony imo. Though given the ratio between male and female ponies we've seen, either not everyone can have a very special somepony, or lesbianism is culturally acceptable >_>;;

NO YOU STUPID LITTLE PONIES DOCTOR WHOOVES IS NOT TOO SPLASHY YOU TAKE THAT BACK RIGHT NOW AND CAPTURE HIM BEFORE HE FLIES OFF TO ADVENTURE IN HIS TIME TRAVEL PONYMOBILE

"Cheerilee is desperate! She'll have no choice but to say yes!" I am not sure I approve of the implied dialogue.

"Yay! Forced love!" *hoof smack*

So, romantic plot 1 has failed...I guess maybe sense will prevail and....hello there Twilight Sparkle. Reading while walking....that has got to be like...the pony equivalent of texting while driving. Why is Twilight being a dummy? Doesn't she know somepony could get hurt? ;_;

Love potion....because sometimes 'no' means 'please warp my mind with magic'.

I like how Cheerilee has rationally uncovered this paper thin plot. Teachers are awesome, yo :p

...though...how the hell they're supposed to pick up the glasses is beyond me. Oh the magic of jump cuts and suspension of disbelief.

"Did he just say?" "...words?" more liek it. >_>;;

lol...love poison. If only people would look before they leaped, this kind of thing wouldn't happen -_-

Starving uneducated ponies. lulz. hoof waving seals the deal. <3

XD Big Mac's head shaking

My first thought when they formed this plan was the whole 'bad luck for the groom to see his bride' but then that would have just raised much more complications I suppose. Perhaps if this wasn't a kid's show.

CLOCKS DO NOT CHIME WHEN IT IS NOT THE HOUR

And a somewhat ambiguous resolution. Is there some spark there? Or is it really just them teasing the little ponies. Probably both.

Really, this was just a precautionary tale of the true threat that gazebos can cause.

But yeah, good episode with some nice humor in it. 8.5/10
