WWE Smackdown
Wk. 3, Oct. '11

Pre-show: Zeke squashed DAIVARI (63, great chemistry); Chavo puts himself over and promises a win over Taker yeah right (86); Watson d. Mahal (44)

-Awesome Truth hit the ring to start out the show. They've been making impacts for weeks now, and it's time they got recognized! They know Mr. Laurinitis will give them an opportunity. Daniel Bryan hits the ramp, and doesn't buy this spiel. Opportunities have to be EARNED, like his Money in the Bank contract. You can't just go around bullying people and sucking up and expect rewards! Sin Cara comes out and simply points at the heels until Mr. L himself shows up. Laurinitis thinks they all make compelling points, but unfortunately Orton/Henry is already booked for Vengeance. However, he thinks he'll mix it up a bit. He makes a tag match, and the winning individual is added to the title match to make it a triple threat! In addition, Orton and Henry will both compete in triple threats TONIGHT.
Rating: 75

-Match: Taker v. Chavo
Chavo.....does better than expected, but yeah, it's Taker's re-debut match. "Better than expected" means Taker flinches a bit from the five seconds of offense he takes.
Rating: 65

-Match: Orton v. Dibiase v. Young
Dibiase and Young take one look at Orton and decide to team up. This means that Orton can take them out twice as fast! After some playing around, Orton hits dual RKO's and wraps things up.
Rating: 70

-Orton doesn't like having extra people added to his match, but he just proved it doesn't matter. He's going to win the title at Vengeance, whether he has to go through one guy, two guys, or ten guys and a puppy.
Rating: 84

-Match: DAVID HART SMITH v. Carlito
One could mistake DH Smith for a jobber with his completely unhyped return, but he dispels this notion upon stepping into the ring. He goes toe to toe with Carlito, but eventually falls a bit short.
Rating: 63

-Carlito gets his apple, but decides not to spit it just yet. He hits another Backstabber, and continues abusing Smith until Tyson Kidd comes running to ringside! Kidd debates a moment, and then makes the save, running off Carlito.
Rating: 67
Kidd's face turn went pretty well

-Match: Finlay v. Sin Cara II
A good, solid match. Black Cara's speed advantage gives him the edge over the aging Irishman, but when Sin Cara's music hits over the speakers, the wily vet takes advantage of the distraction to turn the tables and get the win.
Rating: 59

-Match: Yoshi and Sid v. Christian and Brodus
Christian and Clay are suspected to be in cahoots after the attack on Sheamus last week, and their tag synergy seems to confirm it. They're able to handle the oddball face team without many problems at all.
Rating: 77

-Sheamus comes out, shaking his head. He doesn't know why they ganged up on him, but he doesn't appreciate being bullied. Therefore, he's going to find himself a partner and fight them at Vengeance!
Rating: 83

-Match: AJ d. Tamina
Rating: 40

-Natalya comes out and shakes AJ's hand...then lariats her! Before AJ can recover, Natalya strips the girl down to her undies. That's not very PG.
Rating: 69

-Match: Bryan/Cara v. Awesome Truth
Back and forth match. Barrett comes down to ringside and tries to steal the MitB briefcase! Bryan apprehends him, but gets clocked in the face with it while the ref's not looking. All that's left is for Miz to roll Bryan into the ring and capitalize with a Skull Crushing Finale. Miz and Truth celebrate until Truth realizes he doesn't get anything.
Rating: 86
