The problem with Wenger is, you say, "they wouldn't have done as well in his spot". The only reason the spot is there is because he made it. Ferguson and Mourinho generally look at their team and say "okay we need that type of player etc" while Wenger is just "we need a striker but we can just get a 5-year old who will score our goals"
