I'm literally sitting here laughing at this placing so high and thinking about it. I ****ing love the first season and I was so excited for this. There was pretty much no way this wouldn't be my favorite anime of 2011. Oh... there was a way. It's called terrible pacing and stupid stupid romantic misunderstandings. Augh. The majority of this season was painful, made even worse having to wait a week for each episode. Plus, no actual developments happen in several episodes. So why is this in the top 10? Because when Sawako and Kazehaya finally, FINALLY, get together, it's ****ing awesome that's why.

Not as good as a new full season would be but I was pretty glad this was made. First of all, Kuroneko is obviously better than Kirino (LordEmbok > meisnewbie) so of course I was on board for Kuroneko being the focus. And plus, the story is literally about creating a deep and meaningful porn game. Akagi was pretty funny too. What wasn't funny was th3l3fty whining to me when he watched this after he already didn't like the TV series.
8. Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai aka I don't have many friends aka The Life and Times of a b8anime user
Fall
Literally a series about a club for people who have no friends aka b8anime. This was just really funny. I thought every character was funny and few jokes fell flat. I'm not sure who my favorite character was. Yozora was at first but I probably like Sena or Rika more. Kobato is also awesome. I really hope it gets a sequel since there wasn't even the scene where they realize they've all been nakama this whole time. Note this isn't spoilers since I haven't read the novels or anything but there is no way in hell this scene doesn't happen.
7. Mazinkaiser SKL

Holy **** only five people on my MAL friends have seen this. I guess they can't even spend one hour watching something that doesn't have H scenes. SuperAngelo128 obviously gave it a 5 instead of what he really felt about it so b8anime doesn't look down on him for scoring something too low under the acceptable range. Anyway, this was just really badass. There's not much of a plot besides kill the ****ing bad guys because **** having a plot that's for girls. It's basically just about two bros killing everything in sight while heavy metal music blares in the background. One of the best series from last winter.
6. Steins;Gate
Spring
Literally the greatest anime of all time. This was great throughout. I really liked both halves, the beginning where it was just about hanging out and doing science and **** and then the second where there was a real plot. My favorite part about the show was the cast. I liked everyone a lot except Moeka. The original four lab members were my favorites, it just got too mainstream after them. The plot in the second half was pretty intense and the time travel was used well. It was cool seeing Kyouma be so awesome and heroic and much to swordz9's pleasure, he has no qualms with punching women in the face. Also a fun fact, Daru literally got edwardsdv to drop the show. I guess he hit a little too close to home.
