i'm fine with the davey win, but the way he won it was weird - they basically replayed davey vs. eddie 2, down to the finish no less. there was a LOT wrong with the show tonight.

(spoilers for final battle obv)

first off, Rave losing was fine. that's how it should be anyway. ditto for Steen's return, but man he took some seriously nasty bumps. the TV title was alright - Lethal or Generico are acceptable, Bennet isn't because he really, really sucks. Maria was the only reason he'd have won it. Davey winning is fine too. and Hero losing to Roddy can be fine or can be not fine depending on his circumstances. if he's staying for a bit, shoulda won. title scene then looks like Steen/Davey/Eddie/Hero/Roddy. the two new additions are very, very helpful. honestly there isnt' much reason i'd NOT have Hero win that match. also, truth martini's outfits are amazing.

the tag division is in major peril. the match with 5 teams had some good matches but it rather sucked the way things kept going. it made perfect sense for ANX to win that in all ways - they were last, they've been built hard over the year, THEY should be the guys to beat. it didn't happen. and yet that's the lesser problem - the fact is they lost due to the ref calling the match. not because Titus tapped because he didn't. that was clear, he was not going to tap. they lost because the ref stepped in and said 'no, you are not going to continue.' which is pure BS.

LATER that night, we have the TNA of ROH matches. let me list the things that went wrong.
1) The beatdown at the start COULD have been fine. there's plenty of reason WGTT would want to beat the living hell out of the Briscoes. the arena treated them like heels the whole way and they just went **** it, we'll be heel. and know what? that's fine. they beat the daylights out of 'em, busted Jay open (big surprise i know), and... this was before the match started. with both of them beaten, one of them bloodied, the same ref that stopped Titus from competing was okay with starting this one. .....what?
2) the beatdown could've been fine still even with that ref problem if they won. ditto for the heel turn really - it'd change the atmosphere a lot. it'd offset the damage done to them becuase hey, while it's painful to have your ribs taped up and stuff, it's a lot more painful to have just gotten your ass destroyed. spoilers: they lost. the beatdown was pointless. as was the heel turn.
3) during the match shelton's 'injuries' came to play and he was brought to the back. now, since this IS for the tag titles, it would make sense that if one is unable to compete, they lose the match in a similar way to a dq, right? nope. match continued as a handicap match. why. this made no sense.
4) the above made LESS sense when he returned after about 5 minutes. he was brought to the back to make the match MORE of a cluster****.
5) after all that, we had a scene with a ref bump in what could've been a win for WGTT. again. thanks for that. not only was everything else wrong here, but A GODDAMN REF BUMP.
6) the ref bump took so friggin' long that a giant piece of wood was used on each of the briscoes and the ref was STILL down. and the crowd was loud.
7) the ref bump took so long that it only just happened to wake up when the briscoes landed their finisher to win the belts. ....way to go guys. way to go. this was absolutely amazing with how silly it got.
