It's Nethack with a user-interface and more customizable character system.
It's fun if you like Roguelikes... basically a dungeon crawl where one mistake can kill you in a comical way.

Definitely worth $2 imo.
I have to disagree, I like almost every roguelike I've played (Stone Soup, DoomRL, Shiren, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, Torneko, Nethack) and I found Dredmor incredibly boring. Grinding was way too long and floors were way too big, without any easy way to travel quickly like in all the others I mentioned.
