Also, what bug was FIRE abusing? If they were smart enough to discover it and abuse it, then they deserve to win.
If Puck turned on autocast on Phase Shift while he was stunned then he could use the ability to dodge. Also worked in abilities like Chronosphere. It was also possible to move while Phase Shift if you did a few things.
Bug abuse has always been banned in tournaments. When this was discovered FIRE's win was taken away, and they were lucky they didn't get DQed from the tournament.
You could also effectively trade money between players by trading consumables within the resell time limit. Teams (not just FIRE) did this to give their carries more money early on.
