actually, no. Thats incorrect. What im saying is the "alpha male" stops being an alpha male in the eyes of women his age and the man with the good job and looks good/in good health starts BEING the alpha male. Because he has money and looks very presentable.
So ya, that tatted up guy at the bar will still get those college aged girls (until he turns in his mid/late 30s and is labeled a creeper by even 18 to 22 crowd), but the man with stability and has long term goals will indeed be more attractive to women.
