You NEED to make an obvious attempt to make yourself more attractice. Don't wear hoodies, gamer T-shirts or camo shorts. Stay in healthy shape, do NOT were cologne unless you're going to an atmosphere that calls for it, or use it very sparingly, wrists and neck that's it.
As much as you're eyeing up and grading every chick in the room, they do it much faster than we do, mostly based on Hair/Face/Clothes. Then once you pass that test they may or may not make an effort to talk to you.
