SPOILERS

For what it's worth, I played through Professional on non-Wii controls for the first time in years recently. The only troubling part was Krauser, and that's because Wii controls totally change the way you fight him and make him a lot easier. I think Krauser is supposed to be the hardest part of the game, but Wii controls break that.

General Advice

- Always fortify yourself in a corner or place where enemies can only attack you from one side. Such areas include the small locked room in the village (it's an iron door so they can never break it), the double-switch room at the end of 3-1.

- When doing the cabin fight, only fortify two windows. Break the third so that you and Luis have more time to easily pick off enemies who only attack you from one side.

- Never use a sniper rifle during the gondola ride. The game kinda hints toward it, but a handgun is more than good enough, and one handgun shot is enough to kill anyway.

- Be patient during the Chief Mendez fight. As long as you're running from one side of the room to the other, he can't really hit you. Take your time and pick your shots wisely. On pro, he does insane damage.

- When facing one enemy (or a small group), dash toward them for a split second and immediately walk back. They'll lunge at you or attack. They will miss, and you'll have enough time to run forward and knife their eyes, setting up a kick.

- Suplex is the coolest attack, but the kick is better overall. Kick has a nice splatter range and guarantees that Leon ends the attack with no enemies near him. The suplex can end with Leon getting up right in the face of an attacking enemy; there's no way to dodge that.

- I'm sure you know about the ammo upgrade trick. Upgrading your capacity gives you a full magazine for free. This is essential for your Broken Butterfly. It gives you tons more ammo and allows you to use the magnum more freely against Garradors and JJ, making them laughably easy.
