- Basic gameplay is the same as previous games -- form a team of three generals, switch off between them during battle.
- Kaguya, from the Japanese folktale "Tale of the Bamboo Cutter," is a new character for the game.
- New features are Team Attacks and Switch Combos.
- New characters that aren't part of the Warriors series will be included.
- Story will involve "time travel."
- There will be a character bond system similar to DW7.
- "Musou Battlefield" will allow you to create your own scenarios, and upload them online for other people to download and comment on. The goal is to create a "Musou community."
- Due for release in December in Japan. No international release announced yet, but the fact it's also coming out on the 360 would indicate the plans are there.
