Anyway I just don't think it needs a sequel. It seemed complete to me and and anything more seems like their milking. I think he should stick with Original stuff and only reference past work.
Whether you think it needs a sequel or not is irrelevant, since this likely won't change the original at all, just use the characters for another story, and is in no way shape or form milking.
